equation, express one of the unknowns in terms of the other unknown
- Substitute the unknown
formed into the non-linear equation
- Simplify and solve the
non-linear equation to obtain the values of the 1st unknown
- Substitute the values of the 1st unknown found into the linear equation to obtain the 2nd unknown.
